Defence & Aerospace · Research-stage capability
Simulate first, before the confirmatory trial.
For defence MSMEs, research teams and institutions working on protective systems, we build simulation, knowledge and decision-support workflows that remove unknowns before you commit material, budget and range time. Protective and analytical work only — no weapon design, ever.
A confidential 20–30 minute call with a Digiator co-founder, under NDA where you need it. We usually respond within one hour.
Research and prototype stage, developed openly and human-in-the-loop. Every study we produce is predictive guidance — never a substitute for mandatory physical certification.
The trial you cannot afford to fail
In this sector, the truth is decided in a single millisecond you cannot see — and often in a single physical trial you cannot repeat.
Proof-testing a protective structure is expensive, destructive and range-gated. By the time a panel meets a live round, most of the money is already spent and most of the decisions are already locked. Fail there and you’re not iterating a design — you’re restarting one, with the tender clock running.
And there is a second problem underneath the first: discretion. Sensitive engineering work is not something you hand to a general agency, or paste into a public chatbot, or discuss over an open thread. You need a partner who understands why you can’t say much yet — and behaves accordingly from the first message.
That is exactly the pressure we build for.
Where we help — and where we deliberately stop
We work only on the protective and analytical side of defence engineering.
- Simulation-led protective-systems analysis impact, blast and ballistic response of protective panels and hardened structures. We model how a structure absorbs and distributes energy through the moment of contact. This is target-response engineering — never weapon performance.
- Engineering knowledge systems turn scattered standards, drawings, test reports and tender documents into a private, source-cited knowledge base your engineers can actually query, instead of hunting through folders.
- Engineer-approved decision-support software tools that surface options, flag compliance gaps and help draft technical scrutiny. The AI suggests; your engineer decides — with every answer traceable to its source.
- Research-data organisation structure simulation runs, revisions and test data so findings stay reproducible and audit-ready.
- Custom technical software bespoke tools built around your workflow, on your infrastructure, air-gapped where the work requires it.
Where we stop, on purpose: no weapon design, no weapon manufacture, no offensive systems. Protective, analytical and decision-support work only — domestic, and always with your engineer in control.
Simulate first: how the research workflow runs
- Frame the real question. Threat class, materials, geometry — and the decision that actually depends on the answer.
- Model the structure. Build the protective panel or assembly in a validated explicit-dynamics environment.
- Read the response. Watch stress-wave propagation and damage evolution across the millisecond of impact, frame by frame — the event physical testing is too fast and too total to let you observe.
- Compare variants. Change layering, material or thickness and see the effect before anything is fabricated.
- Document and hand over. A report-grade study, written to be scrutinised, with a clear recommendation to confirm through physical testing.
Simulation earns its place before the range, not instead of it. The point is not to skip the trial — it is to walk into it with far fewer unknowns.
Human-in-the-loop, by design
You have seen what happens when a tool answers confidently and wrongly. Serious engineering cannot run on that.
So every decision-support system we build is deliberately unglamorous where it counts: the AI suggests, your engineer approves. Answers are traceable to their source. Actions are logged. And where the work demands it, the whole system runs on your own infrastructure, air-gapped — nothing sensitive leaving your walls. Judgement stays with your people; the software just makes their judgement faster and better-documented.
The engineering discipline behind it
Research-stage does not mean untested hands. The discipline this work needs — configurable logic, controlled approvals, traceable records — is discipline we have already shipped in production, in a different sector.
In manufacturing, we built and deployed a role-based production platform for a Satna-based cable manufacturer: six operational modules, a five-level approval workflow, and a full audit trail that replaced fragile spreadsheets and verbal sign-offs. It is live and confirmed in writing by the client.
Different domain, same backbone — and exactly the kind of controlled, auditable, engineer-approved system a defence engineering team needs its software to be. Explore the deeper capability under Custom Software & AI Systems, Data, CRM & Automation and Strategy & Digital Consulting.
Where this actually stands today
We would rather tell you exactly what is real than dress it up.
Our founding team has completed a report-grade simulation study of layered protective panels under rifle-class impact — modelling how the structure carries and sheds energy through the moment of contact. The underlying work has been documented to academic standard and submitted for independent peer review.
What that is: genuine, careful, research-stage capability, engineer-approved at every step.
What it is not: a finished commercial defence product, and not a paying-client case study. We are building this capability openly, and we would rather earn your first engagement than exaggerate a past one.
What we deliberately do not disclose
Discretion is part of the work, so we keep the public detail minimal on purpose. We do not publish model configurations, material parameters, mesh detail, projectile specifics, datasets or client identities — ours or yours. Anything sensitive stays inside a signed, confidential engagement. A vendor who shows you someone else’s sensitive work will one day show yours.
How a first conversation works
- You reach out briefly, no sensitive detail needed yet.
- We put an NDA in place where the subject warrants it, before anything technical is discussed.
- A confidential call with a Digiator co-founder (20–30 minutes) to understand the problem, the constraints and where we can genuinely help.
- A scoped proposal for the protective, analytical and decision-support work we can genuinely move — domestic, engineer-approved.
or reach us on WhatsApp for a first, discreet exchange.
Questions defence teams ask us
Do you design or manufacture weapons? No. We work only on protective systems, analysis and decision-support software — target-response engineering, never weapon performance, design or manufacture. That boundary is fixed.
Does your simulation replace physical trials? No. Every study is predictive guidance to reduce unknowns before the trial. Physical certification remains mandatory, and we say so in every report.
Do you have a paying defence client or a finished product? Not yet, and we won’t pretend otherwise. This is research- and prototype-stage capability, built openly, with an engineer approving every output.
Can an AI-assisted answer be trusted? Only because a human validates it. Our decision-support tools keep the engineer as the approver, cite their sources, log their actions, and can run air-gapped on your infrastructure.
How do you handle confidential or export-sensitive material? NDA-first, minimal public detail, and nothing sensitive discussed before an engagement is in place. We do not publish parameters, datasets or client identities.
